the winter storm warnings go into effect for all of SE Wisconsin later tonight through 6am Wednesday morning. A slow moving area of low pressure will develop/pass by to our south setting up a promising snow event that will leave everyone with at least 4-6 inches of snow and possibly push totals over 12 inches for counties near the lake by the time it winds down. Lake enhancement to the snowbands is the reason for the heavier "lakeside" snow potential with lesser amounts further inland. Snow will continue into Wednesday morning early, but of greater concern will be the falling temps and stronger winds developing Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. Significant blowing/drifting will continue to promote travel problems into the afternoon Wednesday, especially as you get into outlying areas.
