*** SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 1PM FOR MILWAUKEE, WAUKESHA, JEFFERSON, DANE, ROCK, WALWORTH, RACINE AND KENOSHA COUNTIES. ***
8/18 7:00 AM - A line of strong, but diminishing storms through SE WI this morning, the best chance for a strong storm coming south of I-94 before 10am. Still, more widespread rain and a few moderate storms keep breezy winds and isolated lightning through the late morning and midday. While the strongest storms pass into the early afternoon, we stay mild and humid with highs in the mid 80s, as we await the passage of a trailing cold front. This cold front passes through in the evening, ending the lingering showers and weak storms after sunset, as we'll be left with a pleasant but breezy evening. This cold front sets us up for a nice start to the work week, brief high pressure bringing sunshine and seasonal temperatures. A returning storm chance, although more isolated on Tuesday, before we go back to a dry and cooling pattern. [Alex Bukvich - Innovative Weather]
